Recreational Classes

Our recreational classes start from the age of four (gymnasts must be in Reception at school) and run up to the age of 18. When gymnasts reach 18, we then offer our adult classes, which also provide opportunities to compete.

During our recreational classes, gymnasts experience three different apparatus each week on a rotating basis. We also run proficiency badges twice a year, where gymnasts work towards new skills and receive a certificate and badge at a presentation event. Gymnasts are also given the opportunity to compete in our in-house recreational competitions, which take place twice a year.

Alongside weekly classes, we offer themed camps during Easter, Summer, Halloween and lots of fun activities at Christmas.

We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, fun and safe experience for all gymnasts.

At Birches Valley, we run multiple classes throughout the weekdays and Saturdays. Please see our class timetable below to find the most suitable day and time.

Please Note

We do take boys in our Beginner and Intermediate classes. However, if they show higher potential, we may advise contacting a club that specialises in men’s artistic gymnastics and has the appropriate equipment and coaching to support their development.
